Need an idea or a project to pursue? We're here to help. After completing training for labs and equipment, students can attend workshops, participate in build nights or work on TIW-provided project kits. Want to create a project of your own? Talk to a member of our student staff to get started.
Project Kits
Project kits help students make the leap from getting trained to using skills on a relevant project. They lower the barrier with openly available, pre-packaged, step-by-step activities that students can purchase and complete individually or with a friend. We encourage students to experiment with various tools and materials at their own pace.
Group Events and Competitions
Throughout the year, Texas Inventionworks (TIW) hosts a range of events and competitions in the space all aimed at learning, exploring and having fun. Some of our events are designed and hosted by TIW staff, while others are designed by external student organizations and hosted within the TIW facility. In contrast to project kits, events and competitions are slightly more advanced and provide opportunities to interact and collaborate with others.
Made something cool at Texas Inventionworks?
Whether it's something you worked on in a class, for fun, in a group, or by yourself, we want to see it (big and small).
