Overview

Texas Inventionworks is equipped with machines and tools that range from simple hand tools to computer-controlled industrial equipment. In TIW facilities, you can work with plastics, wood, fabrics, fasteners and metals. Trying to figure out how to make an idea into something real? Talk to us for equipment recommendations and training. Training is required and provided for all equipment, tools and printing materials.

Areas

We're located in the National Instruments Center on the first two floors of the Engineering Education Resource Center (EER). The main facility is organized into 12 distinct areas, each equipped with specialized tools and technology to support prototyping and related activities. Explore what each area has to offer.

Materials

We stock select free materials and materials available for purchase, so there are always ways to create in TIW. Limited grant funding is also available to support significant projects (awarded based on the review of a project proposal). Reach out to our professional staff for more details.
